Working a bit on mastofs a tool to expose Mastodon API as a 9P filesystem

@jirka if I manage to make a somewhat usable acme interface over it this should be pretty cool :)

@julienxx ACME interface would be really cool! (and even more useful for amateurs like me...)

@julienxx @jirka i have not been active on fedi lately because of computer issues - i have also been working on this a bit!

lmk if you wanna compare notes or anything ever :)

@julienxx @jirka i did not realize until working on this that mastodon posts are html embedded in json which i... dont love :p

@dogstar @jirka sure I need to clean up my token but maybe we could try to work together on a single implementation of you’d like?

@julienxx @jirka sure! mostly now i am just relearning c :) if you want i could start from the acme interface side and work towards you

@dogstar beware it's pretty shitty C as I'm relearning it too :)
You'll have to change the URL but it should get the last 20 toots of your timeline.

@dogstar it currently only gets toots, there is no walking or ctl yet

@julienxx totally! i can at least Pair Review or whatever :) will take a look later

@julienxx Well, I am not a good programmer but I can help with testing and such things.

@julienxx I've seen statuses mention 9P, but I just decided to figure out what it is after reading your post. Looks interesting. What do you like about it?

@daniel besides it’s part of plan9 (my main OS these days) I think the main direct advantage is that it’s really easy to develop networked apps once everything is a file. Like this Twitter browsing in acme for example
